Quote from: Transworld
On July 5th, high above Timberline Lodge on Mt Hood, the first ever US Open of Snowskating was held. Over 20 contestants from throughout the US slid their way through the largest snowskate park ever seen on Mt Hood in an effort to become the first winner of the US Open of Snowskating.

Andy Wolf, the owner and founder of Premier Snowskates, Jeff Handley also of Premier and Julian from Snowskate.com judged the event, while Jason Borgestede, aka the Terminator, MC’d the event.

4 heats were held in total consisting of 2 bi-level heats and 2 single level heats. Contestants assaulted the course consisting of table tops, fun boxes, kinked rails and s-rails for over 4 hours. After the smoke cleared from the many blazing tricks thrown down in the finals, the results were announced….

Single Level
1st. Joel Maxey
2nd. Nick Dirks
3rd. Isaac Hebert
4th. Chip Treadwell
5th. David Wolman
6th. Jordan Armstrong
7th. Brandon Rosler
8th. Max Hilty

Bi-Level
1st. Tad Hihari
2nd. David Wolman
3rd. Clark Hurlbut
4th. Mark Montgomery
5th. Steve Frink
6th. Kevin Pugh

The event was viewed as a major success by all of the participants involved and by Mt Hood who graciously assisted in many ways to make the event happen. A huge list of sponsors including Premier Snowskates, Fortrus Snowskates, Vans, Clive, VZ, Volcom, Santa Cruz, Burton, Scott, Surface, Universal Ramp systems, Snowskate.com, Bi-Deck, X-Box, and World Industries provided enough prizes for every competitor to walk away with something.

Premier Snowskates, who arranged the event, would like to say thanks to all of the sponsors and people who helped make this possible — you know who you are.
