I tried to break in my new ride properly today at Sugarbush, but the lift captain ran out and told me no go.  Snowboards, skis and snowbikes only.  No access even for the magic carpet!  I still had some nice turns by hiking Village Run, but I'm really after lift service.

I'll try and talk to the mtn ops manager when I see him.  I'll keep ya posted to any progress.  This snowskating stuff is just too damn fun to let go!

Yah, I'm in VT, rig.  I asked around a little more today, somebody said something about getting a license from the state tramway department!  There's a few snowbikers around here, and I guess they had to go through those hoops.  I remember my cousin showing me his card saying he could ride a snowboard at Stratton many years ago!

you would think any place that would bother with ski bikes wouldn't mind a snowskater??? on a side note, I was taken out yesterday by a snowboarder, didn't even see him coming and I was just doing some mellow turns?? Maybe he was trying to get a close look at my skate and was mesmerized by it to the point of slamming into me??

I'll find out if this is true...talked to the mountain manager and the head of the Vermont Tramway Authority today, and they liked my argument!  Starting sunday I can ride my skate on any detachable!

Of course I gotta work on Sunday, but I'll let y'all know how Monday works out for me!

good job  Smiley I went snowboarding once at Sugarbush and it's a great resort, good to know we can skate now, let us know if you still have problems with lifties and if it goes well maybe we can meet there.

Well, they kinda reneged on me.  I'm now told we can only use Gatehouse lift Undecided lots of greens and easy blues.  While it's enough to keep me busy for now, I'll keep politely pushing for more access.
