Girls, Girls, Girls...

That's a good answer Katie, the value that an additional person (male or female) brings to a company. Whether it brings new attention in to that company in general, promotes a certain product particularly well...certain style, different type of skill set, whatever..that may attract other people. Totally. I also know what you mean about how it seems to be a sole goal of some skaters to get "sponsored," and agree that there is kind of something there that takes away from the overall enjoyment of skating to skate...or to live if you will. I do however, think there are definite aspects of female sponsorship versus mostly male sponsorship that could have huge effects on sports like snowskating.

Obviously the talent and skill has to be there, but I definitely agree that it's not necessarily how big someone's trick bag is or if they can 'compete' or compare with guys their age or not. A girl that shreds is a pretty powerful thing...maybe it can "get people to buy stuff" or better yet get more girls to buy stuff and get into the snowskate game. There is definitely something about seeing someone "like you" that inspires and solidifies dreams and goals..somebody to look up to that you can relate with on such fundemental levels. Really makes a difference. Anyways, I'm kind of straying here. But yeah, girls..right. Good stuff. Maybe things will pick up in the next few years here. Thanks for your answer, I like the simplicity and truth it holds.

As far as Deathwish goes I'm watching it right now. Love watchin skate vids, although I'm not totally sure what it has to do with this topic yet...maybe it's coming?
