It has been a while since I posted on here and since I have been bored without any snow on the ground...... I got to looking at the junk around here and figured I would make a skate and see how it works out. Used one of my son's old junk skate decks (will replace with a nice one if this works out), my old Bent Metals, and a kids ski that has been kicking around for a few years. Total cost $0.00. Got nothing to loose and it might prove to be fun. I have more kids that want to snowskate than I have skates so what the heck, still have another ski if all goes well with the first one. Last pick is of all of my skates, not enough yet.

Awesome, that is exactly how you get into snowskating.  It looks really fast.

ya man a speed deck.... there should be a racing category for snowskates subs i think, and a catagory for people crazy enough to go as fast as you can bindingless. I wanna know what the fastest speed a snowskater has gone.

I don't know how fast it will be but looking forward to trying it out. I am kinda hoping that it will float fairly well with the longer sub. I know it is not very wide so that is a negative but for the price why not give it a go. If it works well I will get another deck for it and put some good grip and a leash on it and take it to the hill.

This thread is right up my alley, cause I started M-7 by Frankensteining skate decks to crappy subs in 2000-01. I got proto's hanging on the wall at the shop that are extinct projects. 1st pow is a 80's Firm top and an 180 cm Armada sub, stacked with skate risers. Like riding a helicopter blade. I keep the rides on the off chance that someone really wants to learn how to ride a snowskate. No short cuts to what works. Slam, get up, slam, get up, oh its 1:30 in the afternoon and this stupid little blade wont work so got get a beer at the bar. Hmm its now 3:00 and firming up, time to ride... So here's what I'm getting at. Save every crazy, stupid ass board and make your friends ride them. It's fun. And if you get it on video, it can be lucrative. AFV here we come.

This post got me feeling Nostalgic. First built with a 1 center mount like the bluehubbard. This thing still gets ridden and is super fun.  The top deck is off of a decept snowskate. we used it because of the foam grip on top.  ( the scull was added about 6 years ago ) The other snowler blade was put on a deck that has regular skateboard grip.  It still gets ridden too.
