kids and snowskates

Has anyone dialed in the right length width height etc. for a little kid. My 5 and 8 year olds really want to board, this looks like a fun way to work on it without having to strap them in and out all day on a little hill. Would you maybe go with about 100cm in sub width. I make my own reg. snowboards so I was wondering if anyone had tweaked the right sub width, board height off the sub, and deck width
Thanks!

you could probably just pick up a burton online that would work. Or make a sub ski about the same size as a skateboard deck, around 31" long. ski Width would be pretty narrow too, maybe around 4" at the nose and tail. truck height around 1 1/2" for the most stable ride

Yah,
I agree with Chiller something about 31" which I think is about 80cm is a good start. There are lots of ski blades in that range. Couple that with an old skateboard deck and boom, snowskate. Check craigslist too. Around here there are a few artec and burton snowskates for less than $40. Here is what I have got going for my 7yr old.

your gonna need one for yourself, nothing is better for riding with your kids then a snowskate. easy to hop off and scoop them up.
