It isn't the rider that says who can use photos of them, it is up to the photographer. Yes snowskating is a small community, unfortunately, not all photographers are a part of this community. Alan isn't complaining about getting getting a surprise cover, but saying if you want to maintain a relationship with photographers and continue getting media from photographers that aren't a part of the 'snowskate community' you need proper permission to use photos. Setting precedence to prevent mishaps in the future. It's a misunderstanding, not a big deal, everyone gets negative and dramatic so fast.
