I guess the dvd's out, some shops have it playing. a friend said he saw wolle's segment yesterday and it was sick. There was almost half of his segment on the powdersurf. Just might have to order the vid for that half segment.

I just got the vid yesterday and wolles part is pretty awesome. Of course i couldnt get the ac3 sound to work, but a little deep purple from my collection seemed to suit it alright. You're right, half of his segment (2mins) is powsurf with a couple different boards. Also Terje Haakonsen has some powsurf parts. Im glad they are giving twice as much time to powsurf shots.

watched Now/Here last night, basically justs wolle's part over and over. It takes a couple of times through to see the different boards and tricks. Its a heafty powsufing part and it comes at the very beginning of the video. Powsurfing is the opener....that's wild that strapless riding is so prominent. The folks over at absinthe must really believe in the potential. the riding is amazing. I think that strapless style(or lack of) is starting to be recognizable. He doesn't just look like he's riding a snowboard. the tricks are insane, lots of 180's over big hits, some shuvs, a finger flip I think or a kick flip, big stale fish over a back yard jump into the street, this was a packed snow line, no powder. And of course some big backcountry lines with some mini hits, I'm sure they would look huge if you were riding next to him. and then there are the boards. A bunch with his big nose fish tail pow surfer but then some of the tricks and big hits were on a.......hard to describe.....I guess you would call it a powder approach. Like a burton approach but for powder?...I only got a quick glimpse of it but it is monolithic in construction but has concave on the side and a noticeable center part that resembles a sub. A bi deck powderskate with no space in between the top deck and skate. I've heard talk of his Patent ideas, maybe this is it.  If I can figure out how to screen capture I'll try and post a pic.

there is a pretty good shot of the bottom of the powsurfers at the end of this article and also the mention of an additional segment in gigi's new film.

Thanks for getting those screen shots for us.
Only a few more days until I can watch this movie on the big screen.
Going to buy it at the show. Read the article in the link.
Funny that trying to ride my old Burton Approach in powder is what started me off
on this style of riding. Would love to have a powder version for playing on in the deep stuff.
Must have more boards.  Grin

Does he have a powsurf and a snowboard that look the same? At the beginning of wolles part he is climbing down the staircase with what looks like that board with bindings on it, then later on what looks like the same board it with a white traction mat. I couldnt tell if the one on the stairs was swallow tail though. Or is it two different boards that look alike? It caught my eye so i figured id mention it.

AHA! Now it all comes together. thanks for clearing up my brain fart.
definitely cool looking boards. That "sub" part of those boards looks like they have decent sidecuts and..... those almost look like steel edges. maybe powsurfs on groomers isnt that far away.

Amazing part, each year it gets longer and longer and each time Wolle delivers much more than expected. Can't wait for more news on Asmo.
