What is the best alternative to buying an actual snow skate leash that works well.  I know your best best bet is to by an actual leash but i  cant at the moment

ive been using a caribeaner bungee cord for the last few seasons. it works pretty good. i just strap it onto my leg and the other side ties around it truck

i just made me somthing similar with tubular straps and bungee cost me around 12 bucks and 10 min time so get crafty every one!!!

My Predog leash just arrived.

Smart, smart design. I've got Glam Rockers on my Pioneer and the leash strap just barely fits through the hole pattern in the rear truck. The belt loop is a brilliant bit of design - assuming your trousers have a belt loop. Just put the loop through your belt and double it back. When you get out of the lodge, use the velcro on both sides to attach the leash to your trousers.

If you have a yard sale fall, you may end up losing both your board and your trousers.

Flat out beats the Ungi Bungi, which drags behind me. But I've got that on my Florida so it's not like I'm on rails with that setup, anyhow, so the drag is not much of a concern.

Also flat out beats the 3' Burton snowboard leash that I used to have on my Gnu Danny Kass, which was a guaranteed way to get hit by the board in falls.
